Small Plates Dining Manchester |
Small Plates celebrates the British pub and gastronomy in a unique way, but don't be fooled, this is evolution, not revolution. |
'British tapas' may have become the latest fad addition for several restaurants, but Small Plates felt it was about time someone did things the right way, reviving our own pub culture, and as a result, this is so much more than just 'British tapas'. |
The menu is written for the drinker, calling on a time when a bar snack alongside a pint was the working man's dinner. |
The brief; a selection of tasty morsels one can eat with one hand, allowing room for a pint in the other. |
No starters, no mains, just quality British pub fare. |
And so, Small Plates was born, and will be sold henceforth at the wonderful Bay Horse, in the heart of the Northern Quarter. |

Small Plates at The Bay Horse Manchester |
Set in a Grade II listed Georgian building; the exterior of The Bay Horse remains wholly unchanged from the original Bay Horse Pub & Hotel, which traded earlier in the century |
Homely and comforting with a refreshing drinks menu and popular pool table in the basement, The Bay Horse is a great all round local in the heart of the Northern Quarter. |
2012 is a period of rejuvenation for the Bay Horse as they look to reawaken the walls with a collection of artists’ interpretations of 'horse' and reopen the doors to musicians and bands. |
The Bay Horse hosts a range of events weekly, and if you're looking for a space to hire, they boast of being a dab hand at throwing a party. |
The Small Plates menu is also perfect as an alternative to standard canapes and tired buffets, so why not give your guests a real British mouthful in a stylish yet comfortable venue. |
