Wagamama serve predominantly Japanese food, with some inspiration from other Asian countries, and boy do they know what they are doing.
With a menu that's half small tapas style side dishes (or starters), and half main meals, it's very easy to be spoilt for choice. Whilst it isn't the cheapest place in town, it's not the most expensive either and the chefs in the open kitchen work with fresh ingredients and powerful flavours to bring you incredibly authentic, incredibly tasty, and incredibly beautiful looking dishes.
Wagamama's communal style dining and casual service creates a fun, friendly atmosphere, whilst remaining sophisticated.
A friend asked me recently, 'who does the best cheesecake in Manchester?' I wasn't sure, but now I can say Wagamama's Ginger and White Chocolate cheesecake is certainly a contender.
One final note: The Japanese pickles are delicious! Order more than one portion. |
