 | | | | | Livebait Seafood Restaurant Manchester - reader comments | | "Despite an extremely attentive waitress and a very quiet Tuesday evening (the restaurant was not full), from sitting down to having our orders taken took way too long. OK, so were given a piece of bread and some tasty pate but it was well over 20 mins after this had been very clearly eaten that our waitress came. A little worrying when the place is not busy and appeared to be understaffed. I would not re-visit Livebait simply because of this long wait. The food was excellent and my salmon could have easily fed 2 people. All the other fish courses that were ordered were also very well prepared and tasty!" - angela, bury - member since jan'09 (15/6/09 visited on a tuesday evening) |
| | "A friend and I are avid seafood fans and visited on a Monday evening after work - we chose the platter which I think was valued at £55 per head. A tad expensive, however it was plush with every type of seafood a fan could expect; only criticism was the major attraction, bar the lobster, was the soft shell crab, which was not on the platter as stated - I believe they had run out - disappointing. Everything else was tasty and in ample portions. Special note to the exquisite cooked half Lobster each. Aside from the food, it is a nice restaurant, set back from the street. Not had any other experiences apart from Yo Sushi & Ithaca in terms of seafood. As a bench mark, it was nice and recommended to seafood fans!" - nick roberts, altrincham 29/5/08 (visited on a monday evening) |
