The Slug & Lettuce Deansgate Manchester - reader comments
"My husband and I visited the Deansgate Slug & Lettuce one evening, mid week. We found the service to be quite slow and we recommend that you order a drink at the bar before you sit down as you can wait a long time before you even get your drinks order taken. We chose to order the Falafel Burger (£8.45) and Spicy Chorizo Tostada (£8.25). Unfortunately what came to our table was a Falafel Burger and a Chicken Tostada. To his credit, the waiter knew as soon as he put the dish down that it was wrong and apologised. The Falafel Burger was split into about 6 mini burgers that didn t really work in a bun and should have just been one or two larger burgers! Thankfully the unwanted Chicken Tostada (a cross between a pizza and a wrap) was very good and I would happily order this again. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed at the Slug & Lettuce and the service (except order taking) was polite and attentive." - Michelle Knowles, Rochdale - TRUSTED REVIEWER (5/08/09 - visited on a Thursday evening)
"We had to wait ages for everything at Slug & Lettuce Deansgate, there were five people in our party and 2 got their meals after a 45 minute wait, the other 3 people had to wait until the others had nearly finished their meal before they got their meals despite reminding the waitress we were waiting. When the meals arrived they were dried up and not very hot so had obviously been ready a while, so why did we have to wait? We later ordered sweets, wish we hadn't bothered, another long wait and when they arrived the ice cream had already melted!" - mrs curran, bury 20/6/08 (visited on a saturday evening)
