Ithaca
is a fine dining restaurant serving the very best modern
Japanese cuisine in beautiful surroundings. The dining experience
is an eclectic mix of South-East Asian culinary delights,
put together by a team of the world’s finest Pan-Asian
and Japanese Chefs. |
This
stunning four-storey gastrodome took over two years to create,
at a cost of more than £4 million. The restaurant,
situated on the ground and first floors, is exquisitely
decorated in lush dark hues, and features sharp lines and
slick finishing. |
Ithica
is ideally located close to Manchester Town Hall, The Bridgewater
Hall, Royal Exchange Theatre, Opera House, MEN Arena and the
main business and shopping districts. |

Heavenly
concoctions such as Enter The Dragon, a passionfruit and chilli
daiquiri containing Dragonfruit from Madagascar, or the ingenious
Project Ako, a series of neon slings with Kasugai pure fruit
sweets from Japan, are unique to Ithaca. Guests can also order
from a bar-food menu that features a selection of Ithaca’s
delicious restaurant dishes. |
On
the third floor you will find Ithaca's exclusive VIP suite.
Membership is limited and strictly by invitation only; thus
premium patrons can be confident in the knowledge that there
is a luxurious private space reserved especially for themselves
and their guests. |

"First
impressions of this lavish affair were not as we expected
- it's primarily a restaurant aimed at lovers of Japanese
and Pan-Asian fusion fine dining, rather than the poser's
bar we expected it to be. The restaurant, set over the
first two floors, is indeed as plush as you'd expect
for one costing over £4 million and over 2 years
to build. |
"The
food is equally as fantastic, presented like a work
of art, although the menu may baffle you a little if
you're new to Japanese cuisine. Fortunately the staff
are very helpful in explaining the ingredients of each
dish on the menu, which is best served like tapas, with
each dish shared as they arrive one by one. |
"Great
for romantic occassions, healthy business lunches or
a pre-theatre meal, with all of Manchester's theatres
and the MEN Arena being a short walk away, there can't
be many better places in town to enjoy a fine-dining
meal in luxurious surroundings." -
